Goldbug! by GlauG Goldbug! by GlauG
Just a Classics Bumblebee, resprayed with Gaianotes gold, and dyed dark blue in places, with a Growing Pains head and gun set to become Goldbug!

I want this so bad, I never paint any of my transformers toys.

Lately it's the only modelling/painting thing I do. :) I've also started using CAD to design custom parts and get them 3D printed...

It's amazing when you see something you designed as a 3D model in the "real world"... It's totally different to how I feel when I sculpt. I just uploaded a pic to DA of one of my recent projects. :) glaug.deviantart.com/art/Thund…

Gotta love gaianotes. And the custom head makes it much better.

Yeah, Gaianotes paint is pretty rocking. I have a whole bunch of it, and recently used their Gurren Lagann red for a project...

Man, I can't begin to describe it's sheen on plastic.

I had never used the gold before due to its orange sheen in the bottle but it looks amazing when dry.

Thankyou! Yeah, I was really, really happy with how the gold came out, it looks like a production toy rather than something I painted...

I have really got into third party addon parts lately... I have had a KO City Commander for years, but I recently got the Rodimus "Protector" set, the Maketoys Battle Tanker, Fansproject Bruticus, the iGear G1 Kup heads... They have really changed how my collection looks on my shelf!

Haven't looked at any new trasnformers stuff for awhile but from what I've seen and you've described, the stuff is pretty good quality.

Ahh, those are all toys designed by fans to improve on the original Hasbro toys with extra parts, you see. :)
